ABOUT
Richard received a Bachelors degree from the Johns Hopkins University and studied Architecture and planning at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has a Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley where he recieved a grant (Fulbright sponsored) for city planning work in India.
He has professional experience managing architects, engineers contractors and consultants from conceptual design and construction to completion, client approval and hand off.
He worked on a wide range of projects valued from 250 thousand to 3 billion dollars, and is a quality-driven professional, with expertise in the design and construction process.
Richard was a project manager with the Bechtel Group of companies where he managed the design, project and construction management for airports, offices, housing, laboratory, manufacturing, technical and industrial facilities.
As the Community Development Architect of Albany California, he developed, budgeted, specified, managed and implemented city-wide housing and facilities development, programs and specifications, including the city wide construction loan program.
His work in private architectural practice in California, and planning proposals for 1.2 million people in New Delhi India, provided a practical background for working with a wide range of clients, and government entities.
He worked in the software industry on the development of AutoCAD, where he gained expertise in IT infrastructure and technical graphics software. His most recent experience is with Kaiser Permanente, master planning, renovating and developing hospitals, medical offices and facilities for the Marin and Sonoma Medical Centers. Working with ATI A & E, he just completed the planning and project management for the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Medical Office Building, County of San Bernardino, California.
